Tag Your Pet
Identification tags are another successful and quick way of reuniting with your lost pet.
All dogs and cats are required to wear rabies vaccination tags. In some places, they must wear city and county licenses too. Make sure to also include an identification tag with your contact information on their collar.
If you are a cat owner and your cat is strictly remains indoors, he/she should still wear a collar in case they sneak out. Make sure that your cat wears a breakable collar...one with elastic that allows them to escape in case they get caught on various objects.
Your identification tag should include the following:
- Your phone number
- Your address
- Your pets name
- Your pet's humans name
- Your pets veterinarian name and number if there is room
Make sure to keep the tag information updated when you move or switch phone numbers.
